This 1385 fortress was transformed into a luxurious residence for the Meli Lupi princes, who are still the owners today. It is decorated in a Baroque style and furnished with neo-Classical pieces. Explore the Cesare Baglione Room, named after the artist who painted grotesques; the Yellow Room, with its frescoes depicting Hercules and his labours, created by Nicolò dell'Abate (17C); the Great Gallery on the first floor for the frescoes by the Bibiena brothers; the Room of the Strong Women; the sumptuously furnished Throne Room; and, finally, the Nuptial Chamber, with its pair of Murano mirrors.
