Besides its vineyards, this land with chalky soil located near Lake Garda is renowned for the beauty of its villas (Villa Serego in Pedemonte, left unfinished by Palladio, Cazzola della Torre in Fumane, Mosconi in Novare and Rizzardi di Pojega in Negrar) and its charming little churches, in particular San Zeno in Sant'Ambrogio, and San Floriano in San Pietro in Cariano. A trail passing through wine country takes you from masters' houses to ancient farms, through a countryside dotted with olive and cherry trees.
