Futami
: Michelin's recommendations
The coastal town of Futami is best known as the home of the Meoto-iwa: these Wedded Rocks, one 9m tall, the other 4m, are joined by a rice-straw rope. They are mythological symbols of the parents of the goddess Amaterasu. You can also visit Hinjitsukan, an inn that used to lodge eminent Japanese statesmen during their trips to the Ise Shrine.
