Daitoku-ji Highly Recommended Highly Recommended Highly Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
Daitoku-ji is a vast Buddhist complex reminiscent of a miniature village with its layout of one main temple surrounded by 22 sub-temples. Each of the temples is encircled by highly symbolic gardens, only four of which can be visited. The most handsome is Daisen-in Temple, in which you can admire the fusuma painted in the 16C by masters of the art. Further out is Koto-in Temple, whose intimate garden is planted with graceful maple trees and moss.
