The most famous entrance to Chinatown is the red and gold Goodwill Gate, one of the ten gates demarcating the limits of Japan's largest Chinese district. All the gates were built following feng shui principles and are adorned with brightly coloured guardian deities. The area exudes nostalgia for Shanghai's golden age, especially in its theme park, Yokohama Daisekai. It is jam-packed with restaurants and centres on the Buddhist Kantei-byo Temple, which is dripping with ornamentation and glinting with a thousand colours.
