Karen Blixen lived in this house from 1917 to 1931 before leaving for Europe and writing her autobiography Out of Africa, which was later adapted for the cinema. The museum, which brings to life the writings of the novelist and the film by Sydney Pollack, is surrounded by a pleasant garden overlooked by the Ngong Hills.
