The Rift, a wide fault between the Red Sea and the Zambezi river, crosses Kenya along the valley of the same name. Dotted with volcanoes and numerous lakes (such as Lake Magadi and Lake Nukuru), the shores of which attract a profusion of wildlife, the valley is home to some stunning landscapes which can be admired from the summit of Mount Longonot.
