These high plateaux covered with Alpine moorland are dotted with huge waterfalls (Gura Falls), dense forests which thrive in a cool, wet climate, and an abundance of wildlife. The highest peak in the Aberdare National Park is Mount Lesatima (around 4 000m). Facilities for visitors include hiking trails, luxury camps and tree lodges. Well worth a visit.
