Muang Khoun : Michelin's recommendations

Destroyed during the Vietnam War, the former capital of the Phuan kingdom has preserved a few vestiges from its illustrious past, such as the Wat Phia, a temple with a large seated Buddha, and the That Foun, with its stupa covered in vegetation. Muang Khoun is a good base from which to visit the Plain of Jars.
