From the picturesque small port, make your way up rue Passot where lambaoany embroiderers can be seen between the town’s cannons, prison, church and colonial buildings. Andoany, the main town on Nosy Be, has retained many of its historical sites, such as a market, mosques, the Doany and a small fort. The ylang-ylang distillery is also worth a visit.
