Situated on the shores of Lake Tatamarina, Betafo is particularly lively on Mondays when a market takes place in the main square around large steles erected in memory of local military leaders. It’s worth continuing as far as the Antafofo waterfalls, which hurtle down some impressive basalt rocks.
