Situated 25km to the north of Toliara, the Vezo fishing village of Ifaty is now a busy seaside resort. There are plenty of activities to choose from – lazing on the beach, trips in outrigger canoes, walking along the botanical footpath, and diving in the huge lagoon, which is shallow and rich in marine wildlife. Very (too!) popular with tourists.
