Nestling at the end of a huge bay on the Vanilla Coast (in the Sava region), the town of Vohemar is the centre of the Madagascan vanilla industry. It’s worth continuing as far as the amazing Andranotsara Lake (7km to the south), which takes its nickname (Green Lake) from the algae found in its waters.
