For locals, the baobab tree, the roots of which reach towards the sky, is the king of the forest. Although the tree can be seen everywhere in the west of the island, its density in the BMenabe is extraordinary. The Allée des Baobabs, an alleyway which takes pride of place on the island, boasts nine different species, seven of which are only found in Madagascar.
