Stop at Repulse Bay, whose name doesn't keep tourists and locals alike from escaping the city in droves to walk along its sandy beaches and swim in its calm waters. Look up to see the locally-famous “building with a hole” as well as the larger-than-life statues of Tin Hau (the goddess of the sea) and Kwum Yum (the bodhisattva of compassion).
Continue to Aberdeen, known for its village of “boat people” or Tanka–a Chinese ethnic group who live and work aboard narrow fishing boats.
