This thoroughly modern museum is decorated in simple, geometrical style with thoughtfully displayed exhibits, as well as shops and restaurants. The museum’s collection is displayed over six floors, and includes sections dedicated to calligraphy, Chinese antiquities and fine art. All the different provinces and periods are well represented, with something to interest all visitors. Exhibits include fine ceramics and pottery, statues of Buddha, paintings and calligraphy from the main schools of Chinese art (4C-20C), and contemporary art.
