One of Macau’s emblematic streets, Rua da Felicidade was made famous in the West by the film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and was once lined with run down bars and brothels. The street has since been tidied up and restored. Its small, two-storey houses with Chinese-style white façades and red shutters are now home to fish and seafood restaurants, as well as small shops selling local specialities such as sugar cane and snakes for cooking.
