Chuandixia Village is located in the west area of the Mengtougou District. It is well-known for its more than 600 Ming and Qing dynasty-style houses home to 70 families. These well-preserved houses are contructed on the side of a hill, surrounded by mountains and forests.From Beijing, it takes about three hours to reach Chuandixia Village. Once there, a two-hour walking tour commences. Feel free to enter the homes of the locals — people are very friendly. A farm-style lunch is served at a local restaurant. The afternoon is yours to explore as you wish before returning to Beijing.
