Small in size but particularly prosperous and fertile, Zhejiang province has enjoyed a long and eventful history which is highlighted in this museum. Through its extensive collection of exhibits and relics (ancient pottery, engraved jade disks, furniture, bronzes and celadons), visitors travel through its history, starting with the Hemudu civilisation (5 200-4 500 BC) and continuing up to the sumptuous period of the Song dynasty in the 13C.
