Bibendum

Jiajiu is one of those magical remote parts of the world whose way of life has been preserved by its tall mountains and hidden valleys. As a result, the village is poor and lacking in water. Its inhabitants, 90% of whom are Miao, live mostly from the land, surrounded by spectacular landscapes of rice terraces. On the days of the Dog and the Dragon, a magnificent market attracts Miao and Dong people to the village from the surrounding valleys. The Miao group is the dominant one, divided into Black Miao, Green Miao and Red Miao, although the market is also attended by a few Dong women.
