The Taiyuan Villa, also known as the “house of the merry widow”, is without doubt the jewel of Ruijin’s villas. Situated in a street free of cars, this French-style manor house hidden in a verdant setting was built by Count Maurice Frédéric Armand du Pac de Marsolies, who died at a young age during the Croisière Jaune (Yellow Crusade) expedition, leaving his wife, Ginette, a widow.
