This Taoist temple founded in the 3C was further embellished and extended under the Song dynasty. The imposing 12C Pavilion of the Three Purities, adorned with 60 columns, is crowned with roofs with upturned corners. A collection of tablets honours various divinities and the founder of Taoism, Lao Zi. Around the temple, a market selling a whole range of trinkets adds a commercial atmosphere to proceedings.
