Tasik Chini – twelve lakes covering an area of 20km² adorned with lotus blossoms and a circuit of canals running through the heart of a luxuriant forest inhabited by gibbons. The lakes are all the more stunning for being difficult to access. The Jakun, who live on the shores of the lakes, are happy to recount the local snake legend to visitors.
