Despite the explosion in tourism, Langkawi archipelago still boasts some real treasures, such as idyllic beaches, turquoise water and luxuriant jungle. The countryside is magnificent and water buffalos in the rice fields are still very much part of the landscape. The archipelago of a thousand legends has lost none of its magic.
