If you have never visited a distillery, head for the only factory in Fort-de-France. Posted at the southern entrance to the town, the Dillon distillery produces several types of white and vintage rum. The visit will acquaint you with the various production stages of Dillon agricultural rum. A 1922 steam engine continues to power the mills that grind the sugarcane. The visit finishes with a tasting of Appellation d’origine contrôlée agricultural rum.
