The winding Route de la Trace, from Fort-de-France to the delightful village of L’Ajoupa-Bouillon, unveils some of Martinique's most spectacular panoramas. The mountainous landscape – the road runs alongside the Pitons du Carbet, will enchant nature lovers and hikers. The road meets up with many famous hiking trails (the Jesuits' Trail in the heart of the tropical forest), but also provides the chance to admire the luxurious vegetation in the north of the island and delightful villages, without forgetting Balata Garden and Alma canyon.
