Habitation Anse-Latouche Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Destroyed by lava in 1902, the Habitation Anse-Latouche (17C) was one of the first plantations founded in Martinique. The ruins stretch out on either side of Anse-Latouche River, the slaves' huts were on the right bank and the masters' quarters on the left. A pleasant walk, designed by Jean-Philippe Thoze around the remains of the old sugar factory also reveals a garden of cacti and succulents, together with a variety of traditional crops grown on the plantation: indigo, rum, sugar cane, coffee, etc.
