The St James Rum Museum, created by the company of the same name, provides an excellent insight into the history and farming of sugarcane, as well as to rum flavours, because the visit includes a tasting session. From the museum and distillery to the park, the immersion is total. Steam engines, stills and two locomotives are exhibited, because the sugarcane was formerly transported by train to the distillery station. The factory, still in operation, is open to the public from March to June.
