Habitation Leyritz is a fine illustration of an 18C plantation. The Rue case-nègres, for example, the slaves' quarters, is a reminder of how society was organised at the time: unmarried slaves had to sleep in a separate dormitory. The estate's original purpose has, however, been entirely transformed and it is now even possible to eat and sleep here, should the fancy take you. The curious museum of vegetal dolls is also worth a peek.
