Robert Isles Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The volcanic Robert Isles occupy a superb 8km-long bay sheltered by the Pointe Rouge to the north and the Pointe La Rose to the south. They are reached by yole (wooden sailing boats with little draught) in the company of fishermen, a guided tour or by sea canoe. The pristine beaches and underwater treasures attract large numbers of visitors to the îlets Petite-Martinique, Chancel and Madame. If you're looking for something quieter, head for îlet à Eau or îlet du Loup-Garou, a sandbank whose paradisiacal creek can only be reached when the sea is calm.
