Chamarel : Michelin's recommendations

If natural sites are your bailiwick, you’ll enjoy the village of Chamarel, with the peak of Petite Rivière Noire (828 m) towering above it. There’s the awe-inspiring Chamarel waterfall to the South, and the sand dunes in the aptly named Valley of Colours (1.5km away) boasting a broad range of colours depending on the conditions. From Chamarel you can head for Grande Case Noyale, on the West coast, over a road that affords views of the peak, or go to Baie du Cap on the southern coastline.
