The museum's name is no mistake, and it does indeed have on display some exceptional old stamps (including the famous 1847 Post Office). We can’t recommend highly enough a visit to the Blue Penny Museum for its wonderful collections illustrating the history of Mauritius and its capital through engravings, maps, photographs and paintings. A trip back in time, from the island’s discovery to the present day, evoking along the way the legend of Paul and Virginie.
