Mauritius does not operate an embassy or tourist information offices in the Republic of Ireland.
When to go
Mauritius is located in the southern hemisphere. Winter, or the dry season, runs from May to October. Southern summer, or rainy season, runs from November to April, which is also the cyclone season.
The peak tourist season coincides with the summer holidays in La Réunion and Europe.
Time difference
There is a time difference of 3 hours in summer and 4 hours in winter with Mauritius and the United Kingdom and Ireland. So when it is 12noon in London, it is 3 or 4pm in Port Louis.
Documents
European Union nationals require a passport valid for 6 months after the date of return and a return ticket. Three-month visas are issued free of charge on arrival.
