This foundation, in the exceptional setting of a former sugar factory, houses the studio of French painter Yvette Maniglier, who settled here in 2004, a private museum exhibiting her work, and a gourmet restaurant. The collection includes paintings featuring the different themes (abstract architecture, music, de-structured art, nudes) explored by this student of Matisse, Primo Conti and Manfred Henninger.

Pros
This is a unique place in Mauritius part of The heritage so badly treated elsewhere on the island is beautifully restored .Even if you are not particularly interested in art it is still worth the trip. The cuisine is excellent but do not forget to call in advance.The restaurant is only open on reservation. This place keeps very high standards
Cons
The restaurant is closed at noon but recently you can have a light lunch but once again only upon reservation.
