The top of Mont Limon, the highest peak in Rodrigues (393M, slippery access), affords a view of the entire island. The golden light at the end of the day gives this panorama of rugged hills an extraordinary aura of colour with its green trees scattered over the russet savannah, and here and there a brown spot against the bronze background as a cow hunts for fresh grass to graze.
