Acapulco Travel guide
Acapulco : Michelin's recommendations
Everyone has seen the gorgeous photographs of the bay fringed by a long strip of sand. And we all know about its reputation as a jet set seaside resort at its peak in the 1950s. You’ll see that side of Acapulco on the seafront, where most of the tourist trade is concentrated – rather frenzied in the centre, and more luxurious farther east near the Acapulco Diamante. And though the buildings may conceal a more mixed reality – a noisy, chaotic town where life is tough – you can still bask in peace on Playa Icacos and admire Acapulco Bay by night.
