Cantón Palace, which houses the Regional Anthropology Museum, was designed in the ostentatious architectural style that prevailed during the Porfiriat (1876-1991). Inside, the collections portray the history of the Yucatán through a huge assortment of archaeological treasures. Note the jade offerings from Chichén Itzá and the Tabi stele, a Mayan piece.
