The former convent of Santo Domingo is an exceptional setting for an equally exceptional museum. The art objects, crafts and weapons on display provide an extremely interesting panorama of the different civilisations that have lived in the State of Oaxaca up to the present. A highlight of the exhibition is the Mixtec treasure found by archaeologist Alfonso Caso in 1932 in the Tumba 7 de Monte Albán. A real treasure!
