The Museum of the Vice-Royalty is located in a vast complex that was both a place of worship and of study for the Jesuits and Franciscans in Tepotzotlán starting in the 16C. Its different buildings (Church of San Francisco Javier, cloisters and chapels) contain a veritable treasure trove of colonial art, including superb works of art and everyday objects.
