Start the day with an archeological excursion to the pyramids of Teotihuacan—known as "the place where the gods were born" and home to over 2,500 years of history. Visit the temples of Quetzalpaplotl (Butterfly Bird), the Feathered Shells, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the impressive Pyramid of the Sun, and learn how this ceremonial center played a vital part in the development of textiles and natural fibers as well as the Obsidian Exchange.
Next, make your way to the Guadalupe Shrine, where the venerated image of the Virgin of Guadalupe is housed. Take notice of one of Mexico's most important religious and cultural expressions when you explore the shrine's atrium and interior.
