When to go
During the dry season (November to April), stay on the Pacific or Atlantic coasts and in the Chiapas (always hot and humid but less rainy at this time).
During the wet season (May to October), head for the Chiapas, as the Yucatán and coasts are frequently rainy. The temperatures are mild in the Yucatán and Caribbean coast and are cooler in the Chiapas mountains. During the cyclone season (July to September), head for the central villages.
