If you had to choose one pyramid, the pyramid of Kukulcán has the purest lines, admirable proportions and a fascinating vocation: celebrating the sun. If you add the number of steps (four stairs with 91 steps + the one at the top of the temple), it comes out to 365. At the equinoxes the shadow of the plumed serpent falls on the central façade at sunset. The movement of the sun indeed creates the illusion on the steps of a serpent sliding down to the bottom. The sight attracts crowds of visitors.
