Artist Diego Rivera amassed an abundant collection of Pre-Hispanic art work throughout his life. Some 2,000 pieces (out of a total of no less than 59,000!) are exhibited in this volcanic-rock building inaugurated in 1964 after Rivera’s death. This was also his work space, and his studies, tools and contemporary works of art are on display upstairs. Be sure to take a close look at the ceilings, also by the artist.
