This museum is well worth the trip south from the city centre. A close friend of painter Diego Rivera, Dolores Olmedo Patiño acquired some 145 works by the artist - the largest collection in the world - exhibited in this 16C hacienda nestled in a splendid garden. Other pieces on display here include Pre-Columbian art work, and paintings by Russian artist Angelina Beloff and by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera’s companion for 25 years.
