On the Plaza Principal at Dzibilchaltún, several pyramidal foundations and a wide palace constituted the quarter reserve for the elite, embellished by the Xlacah cenote (to the right of the palace) whose ground-level waters are a delight to swimmers nowadays. Explorers have never reached the bottom, probably connected to a network of underground rivers, although they have found thousands of offerings.
