Between Montenegro and Albania, Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans, is a wonderful bird sanctuary that you can visit by boat. The shores, lined with moor and marshland, are great for cycle rides. Monasteries and hamlets of stone houses are dotted along the way.
