Azrou : Michelin's recommendations

Azrou, not far from the volcanic peak it was named for, boasts white houses with high, green-tiled roofs. Set near the Oued Tigrigra between the high slopes of the Middle Atlas mountains and the extreme point of the Moroccan meseta, it lies at the crossroads of two great historical routes in central Morocco. Its excellent location, temperate climate due to the altitude (1,250 m), the proximity of cedar forests and ski trails have made this a lively town - and the main marketplace for the Beni Mguild tribe.
