The construction of the port of Casablanca was undertaken in the early 1920s by Lyautey, whose ambitions for the city overcame technical constraints. The port’s activity has never failed, placing it today among the largest in Africa. What’s more, it is still growing and a third terminal is in the process of being built. It will be a major complex dealing with goods in the tens of millions, and tens of thousands of passengers every year!
