N.-D.-de-Lourdes, a tall, bare concrete structure, was completed in 1956 to plans by M. Dangleterre. The interior is worth seeing for the stained glass windows by Gabriel Loire, a master glass blower from Chartres, offsetting the wood panelling in the choir. Indeed, aside from the long openings providing lateral light to the main nave, the aisle walls are entirely composed of stained glass panels; illustrated against a backdrop of “Moroccan rugs” are, on the left, the tenet of the Immaculate Conception and the apparitions at Lourdes, and on the right the other apparitions of the Virgin.
