Fisherman are the leading men here. Just watch them rushing all over, loaded with crates of fish which they unload from the boats, take to the market to be sold or display in large stalls. Here you can sample freshly caught sardines grilled the minute they hit land! It’s quite an atmosphere - not to be missed! Marine Gate leads into the city, and the fortified Skala of the harbour offers an attractive panoramic view.
